Overview

The Council of EU Chambers of Commerce in India, in partnership with its Associate Partner, BVK Group, hosted its regional Outreach Programme on November 20, 2025, at the Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels on Cathedral Road, Chennai. As a dominant economic and industrial hub of South India, Chennai offered a strategic venue to deepen regional EU–India cooperation. The programme successfully convened local industry leaders, European business executives, and regional stakeholders to enhance trade dialogues, address local priorities, and drive sustainable cross-border partnerships.

Core Themes and Key Discussions

The session focused heavily on leveraging Tamil Nadu's industrial strengths—particularly in manufacturing, clean energy, technology, infrastructure, and financial services—to catalyze bilateral trade and investment. Key presentations outlined the Chamber's active mandate in promoting policy advocacy, sector-specific dialogues, and knowledge-sharing frameworks. The discussions underscored the vital role that local, region-specific insights play in shaping larger national trade policies, identifying emerging investment corridors, and building resilient economic networks between European enterprises and South Indian businesses.
